HEED 3 is a compact, lightweight, Category A self-contained breathing apparatus designed to increase survivability in unintended water submersion. Originally built for U.S. Navy helicopter pilots in 1979, it remains a proven lifesaving device for helicopters, fixed-wing aircraft, float planes, watercraft, and vehicles operating near water.
