Government Issue Nomex Flight Gloves

It has been a few years since being an active military pilot, but these gloves did not strike me as being the same as government issued flight gloves with regard to the suppleness and thickness of the leather being used. The design is the same and quality of construction is fine, but the leather being stiffer than what I remember could be a factor for finger sensitivity for micro-toggle switches, throttle and stick button activation, etc. Issued flight glove leather is about as soft as chamois.

Very good gloves, same quality that I had issued in the military. Purchased some after market ones before that were poor quality and fit. I use these for a light weight hunting or shooting glove.

Original Military Issue Nomex Flight Glove. Great quality! Government issue. Not like other off brand seconds I have purchased from Amazon.

I have used these gloves for my preflight procedures and they do a pretty decent job of keeping my hands warm through the process. I would not use them for everyday winter activities though. I prefer a much thicker and warmer glove than these for anything that does not require precision.
