EVOLUTION "EVO" HPH

Firstly, I need to give some background to how and why I chose this helmet the AV2029 EVOLUTION "EVO" HPH with Bose A20 with Bluetooth. I will be using it to fly an Xenon II Gyrocopter with the doors fitted and removed (Cyprus is HOT in the summer) so I separated the two main parts, helmet/communications. So the headset A20, as you are aware there is a massive amount of information and reviews on this headset. But overall in my opinion the A20 with Bluetooth was the winner. So now to the helmet again you can spend many hours researching which is the best, and in some cases, they criticise each other’s products quite harshly when making comparisons. They should stick to the facts of their own products and let the customer raise the questions, but this is just my opinion. So, I was down to two helmets the “Evo” being one of them. Now the problem starts when you want to put the 2 together (A20 + Helmet), your chose is now much more difficult. Without the luxury of being able to visit any outlets to test them this could be a very expensive gamble, ($3,000 +- usd) So I bit the bullet and this is how it went: The webpage ordering was simple and easy to use. (I was not sure how dark “grey was”) but as it turned out it was dark. The rest of the process, payment and delivery was faultless. I had ordered a helmet bag for that added protection and will help stop the normal nocks from hurting/scratching the helmet, certainly worth the money. The helmet came with a soft fabric draw string bag which keeps the helmet clean and gives even more protection. There is an adjuster at the rear of the helmet which allows you to position your head perfectly within the helmet. Major test was next day, Helmet, handheld and me in the back of a striped out MI8 helicopter, if you have ever travelled in one you will know it sounds like putting your head in a metal rubbish bin (trash can for the USA readers) then asking your friends to hit it with baseball bats. So on with the helmet and switch on the A20 with the handheld. The result was very, very good way past my expectations, the communications were clear, although the flight was only 40mins the helmet super comfortable. The visors worked well but I found the dark one difficult to operate, maybe it is me, but a simple one may be good. So the mating of the AV2029 EVOLUTVO" HPH and the Bose A20 with Bluetooth has in my humble opinion worked very well indeed!
